Guy Evron, Marketing Manager at Bordeaux Digital PrintInk, talks to Richard Romano about the company and their approach to alternative inks.
FESPA TV’s Alex Goodey caught up with Guy Evron, Marketing Manager at Bordeaux on their stand at FESPA Digital 2014, Munich. The pair discuss the launch of Bordeaux’s new solvent ink the FUZE ECO PR4 as well as the Epson SureColor alternative ink, the FUZE ECO SC. Guy goes on to discuss Bordeaux relationship with FESPA, why the trade shows are so important to their event calendar and just how successful FESPA Digital 2014 was for Bordeaux.
We would like to announce the release of FUZE MS 3/33/5 Ver 2 will start on June 10th.
This new release is the result of development and improvements made on the FUZE MS 3/33/5.
Bordeaux’s FUZE MS 3/33/5 (version 2) is a greener solution for Mimaki printers, with lower toxicity when compared to OEM inks. Offering the same optimum performance of the proven earlier version, this advanced ink formulation delivers more value with its improved abilities and extended shelf life.
We would like to announce the release of FUZE ECO PR4.
This new release is the result of development of alternative ink compatible with Roland® SOLJET Pro 4™ printers.
FUZE ECO PR4™ is a Bordeaux genuine ink, dedicated for the new Roland Printers SolJet Pro4 XR-640, XF-640, VersaCAMM Vsi. As with all Bordeaux M&M inks it enables a simple conversion, one color at a time from Roland Eco SolMax2 inks.
Bordeaux inks and coatings recently received new names and packaging making it easier for our customers to identify different ink types. The product formulations remain the same.
For your convenience, scroll down to see a Product Name Guide to help you with the transition to the new product names. Print it and keep it close by so you can easily access the new names.
New packaging – To create greater uniformity and standardization across product lines, Bordeaux’s product packaging changed as follows:
Latex-based & Dye Sub inks in blue bottles
UV & UV LED inks in orange bottles
Solvent inks in purple bottles
Liquid laminates, coatings and adhesion promoters in white bottles
New Names – New product names consist of a family name and the last 2 letters of the old name, for an easy transition, eg. FUZE NR™ will replace PENR™, EDEN LX™ will replace EDLX™ and so on – see attached list. Please note there is no change in the products themselves.
Timing – This is a rolling transition throughout the second half of 2013. For certain products, we will continue to supply both new and previous packaging for a short period until we use up all of our old bottles. The new product names will be in use starting August 2013.

Since successfully launching its Latex ink concept at Drupa 2012, Bordeaux has continued research and development of this revolutionary ink for a larger range of printers to ensure superior print results for a wide spectrum of applications from durable outdoor signage to odorless indoor applications.
Bordeaux’s Latex ink is now compatible with Eco solvent but also Mild solvent ink printers such as all of Mutoh’s Spitfire and Blizzard printers, Mimaki JV 3 /33 /5 and also many of the Eco solvent printers including Roland.
The improved formulation provides dramatically faster throughput speed, extremely high quality and reliability performance on a very wide range of substrates, as well as excellent abrasion and scratch resistance on a very broad C, M, Y, K color gamut.
Bordeaux latex ink brings together the outdoor durability and untreated media flexibility associated with low/eco-solvent inks with the odorless prints, low maintenance and environmentally friendly advantages of water-based inks. This revolutionary ink is used for high performance printing – without requiring any kind of pre-engineering or special changes in existing printers (In most configurations, an add-on dryer is required for faster printing speed).
